Twitter bought MoPub, an online advertising start up. Its basic intent was to garner itself a financial safety net built securely in non-obtrusive advertising opportunities. These ads accounted for 5.6 million in revenue in just one quarter of this year. It has grown exponentially in this last year. These profits make it so that the twitter founder has more than ample principal and cushion for his own ventures in web-based adventures.
