Given the inundation of advertising during the holiday season, several companies are taking a new tack: creating short films that don’t contain a sales pitch but simply tell a story. These films may not even have a relation to a product but merely sponsored by a company. This move toward longer form content is attracting notable filmmakers like Werner Herzog and will only continue to grow.
