Many marketers continue to ignore Google+’s presence in the social media marketplace for unknown reasons. Marketers are turning to more traditional platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to develop marketing leads. However, Google+ is the second largest social media site in the world, second only to Facebook. One social media expert argues, that if the objective is to achieve higher google search rankings, they should look to develop a footprint on Google+. Emphasis should be placed on where will consumers be, not where they currently are.
