Marketing aimed at children to eat healthier may sound like a good idea and what is needed in a nation where childhood obesity is a problem. But the marketing tactics will probably not actually get children to eat vegetables, but just become consumers. Currently, there aren’t very high standards in regulating marketing for children and the food industry has been following their own guidelines for some time— which makes them rather self-serving and not actually helpful for the kids it is aimed at.
